Community Partners

Growing Productive Partnerships

Our partners help the Bartram’s Garden community connect, learn, and be inspired through programs, events, and new opportunities.

One example is the Community Farm and Green Resource Center, which took root in 2012. This 3.5 acre farm and greenhouse increases access to local, organically grown food to Southwest Philadelphia residents, promoting self-reliance and a deeper relationship with the land and the food it can provide. Partners for this joint initiative are the Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative (AUNI) of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

There are limited community garden plots available to Southwest Philadelphia residents, operated through AUNI.
