Tuesday Member Paddle (2018)

A special benefit for members of Bartram’s Garden, this 90-minute flatwater, small-group paddle is from the Bartram’s Garden to Center City and back. Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, headlamps, and basic instruction are provided. Volunteers paddle with the group as safety boaters. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak. Tidal Schuylkill Kayak Tours

This small group tour will educate paddlers on the tides, plants, animals, history and fossil fuel industry of the lower Schuylkill. See sections of the river and oil refineries only visible from on the water. Kayaks, paddles, lifejackets and basic instruction will be provided.
