Third Saturday Volunteer Day (2018)

We welcome volunteers on the second and fourth Saturday of most months from April to November, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Volunteers will work with our staff on seasonal tasks like weeding, planting, cleaning, pruning, and light maintenance. No special experience or skills required. Dress for working outdoors, and if you have them, bring work gloves and a water bottle. PLEASE NOTE: Each adult must register individually in order to complete the waiver.

Make + Take: Herbal Salves (2018)

Learn to make infused oils and salves for everything from bruises, scrapes and bug bites to arthritis, stiffness and inflammation. We’ll talk about which local plants work well in oils and salves, and troubleshoot some common salve-making mistakes. Make + Take Workshop: Porcelain Soap Dish (2018)

Come take a nature walk at Bartram’s Garden, learn about the native plants of the Garden, and make some awesome soap dishes with Stefani Threet! We will collect plant material and press them into the surface of the clay.  Workshop includes materials, basic hand-building techniques, glazes, and firings. Singing as Self Care + Collaborative Songmaking Workshop with Diane Cluck (2018)

This inclusive workshop is created with both new/never-before singers and experienced vocalists in mind. Diane relates the joy of singing through experiential exercises focusing on personal expression and physical sensation. Warm-up includes a bija mantra meditation and creating healing sounds.
