Free Yoga and Meditation Classes

Join us for free indoor/outdoor yoga and meditation classes in the garden this summer, open to the public free of charge on Fridays thanks to a new partnership with the Family Practice and Counseling Network. Classes are conducted rain or shine on the porch of Bartram’s Garden’s Eastwick Pavilion.   Yoga class will begin promptly at 10:30 and run through 11:30. Scavenger Hunt (2018)

8/25 11am-3pm during Free Saturday Boating. Join us for an interactive, family-friendly exploration of Tide Field, the river, and the surrounding environment while learning about river ecology, industrial shores, fish, and wildlife. Marbling & Nature Printing

Nature printing was practiced by naturalists of the 18th and 19th centuries as an efficient method of recording plant specimens. Marbling is a centuries-old process of decorating paper. Benjamin Franklin made use of both techniques as an anti-counterfeiting device for paper currency. Inspired by Joseph Breintnall’s nature prints, he incorporated them into the design of some of America’s earliest paper money and used marbled paper to print financial documents.
