Tuesday Member Paddle (2019)

A special benefit for members of Bartram’s Garden, this 90-minute flatwater, small-group paddle is from the Bartram’s Garden to Center City and back. Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, headlamps, and basic instruction are provided. Volunteers paddle with the group as safety boaters. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak. Last Wednesday Free Fishing (2019)

Learn how to catch one of the 42 fish species found in the tidal Schuylkill from Bartram’s Garden’s Community Boathouse. We provide rods, tackle, bait and basic instruction. Rods are available on a first come first served basis. No fishing license necessary, state license requirements are waived for these events. No registration required. Saturday Free Boating (2019)

Kayak or rowboat on this quiet stretch of the Schuylkill River. No registration or boating experience necessary! All ages are welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult. We provide the boats, life jackets and basic instruction. There are trained rowers available if you would prefer to not row or paddle yourself. Little Explorers: The Garden in Bloom (2019)

We’ll explore Bartram’s Garden with all of our senses and create colorful flower art. Monthly program for toddlers and preschoolers ages 2-4. Each session includes activities, performances, snacks, and walks through the garden, weather permitting. Pre-registration required, one adult chaperone for every two children.
