Free Yoga and Meditation Classes

Join us for free indoor/outdoor yoga and meditation classes in the garden this summer, open to the public free of charge on Fridays thanks to a new partnership with the Family Practice and Counseling Network. Classes are conducted rain or shine on the porch of Bartram’s Garden’s Eastwick Pavilion.   Yoga class will begin promptly at 10:30 and run through 11:30. Saturday Free Boating (2018)

Explore this quiet stretch of the Schuylkill River on one of our kayaks or rowboats. No registration or boating experience necessary! All ages are welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult. Tuesday Member Paddle (2018)

A special benefit for members of Bartram’s Garden, this 90-minute flatwater, small-group paddle is from the Bartram’s Garden to Center City and back. Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, headlamps, and basic instruction are provided. Volunteers paddle with the group as safety boaters. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak. Fourth Saturday Volunteer Day at the Farm (2018)

We welcome volunteers on the second and fourth Saturday of most months from April to October, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Volunteers will work with our staff on seasonal tasks like weeding, planting, cleaning, pruning, and light maintenance. No special experience or skills required. Dress for working outdoors, and if you have them, bring work gloves and a water bottle. PLEASE NOTE: Each adult must register individually in order to complete the waiver

Scavenger Hunt (2018)

8/25 11am-3pm during Free Saturday Boating. Join us for an interactive, family-friendly exploration of Tide Field, the river, and the surrounding environment while learning about river ecology, industrial shores, fish, and wildlife.
