Tuesday Member Paddle (2019)

June 25, 2019 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

A special benefit for members of Bartram’s Garden, this 90-minute flatwater, small-group paddle is from the Bartram’s Garden to Center City and back. Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, headlamps, and basic instruction are provided. Volunteers paddle with the group as safety boaters. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak. Kayaking experience is not necessary but expect moderate physical exertion. To get to the Boathouse, you can park at 51st and Botanic and walk along the river trail, or park in the Visitor Lot and walk the meadow trail, which leads downhill to the Boathouse (click here for a map).

In cooler weather, avoid wearing cotton and heavy shoes—wool, silk, and/or synthetic materials are best. Arrive on time; we push off from the dock at promptly at 6:40 pm.

Cost is free for members. Participants must register in advance, by 12pm day-of, and sign the liability waiver (waiver link).
