When you volunteer at Bartram’s Garden, you join a growing core of devoted supporters who quite literally bring our mission to life.

Outdoor Volunteers

We welcome volunteers on the second and fourth Saturdays of most months from April to October, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Volunteers will work with our staff on seasonal tasks like weeding, planting, cleaning, pruning, and light maintenance.

No special experience or skills required. Dress for working outdoors, and if you have them, bring work gloves and a water bottle.

PLEASE NOTE: Each adult must register individually in order to complete the waiver.

Arts & Culture Volunteers

Come take part in arts & culture at Bartram’s Garden! We welcome volunteers to support our programs team at various arts & culture events. Please check back soon for 2020 arts & culture volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer Groups

All volunteer groups must be scheduled in advance, and date and project availability vary throughout the year. For more information about group volunteer opportunities, please contact June Mansfield at jmansfield@bartramsgarden.org.

Volunteer Tour Guides
We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly people who enjoy sharing their interests and knowledge with Bartram’s Garden visitors to join our Volunteer Tour Guide Program. Volunteers can register at any time by contacting Aseel Rasheed, Welcome Center Manager, at arasheed@bartramsgarden.org.

Volunteer Membership

Our most dedicated volunteers receive the full benefits of membership through our reciprocal Volunteer Membership Program. If you are able to give 10 or more hours of your time over the course of one year, you will receive a complimentary Gardener Membership as a special thank-you for sharing your time and talents with Bartram’s Garden and our community.
